Research Strength

As can be judged from the track records of the participants of the various participants, the network has very strong existing internationally competitive research strengths in its fundamental disciplines. The strength of these research areas is evident from the quantity and quality of published peer reviewed output of the network participants with many participants having published in the leading journals in their fields, membership of some of the senior network members on the editorial boards of prominent international journals. There is also good cooperation with leading international centres and research groups. The network has a particularly strong international reputation in the areas of financial econometrics, actuarial science, funds management, corporate finance and mathematical finance and is therefore very well placed to make significant contributions to FIRN's collaborative research agenda.
